The Newport Beach/Balboa Peninsula area is such an amazing place to explore and has tons of great photo opportunities. Below are some photos I took of the amazing sights throughout the area.
It is very rare to see the beach empty like it is in the two photos above, but an empty beach makes for some amazing photos, both in color and in black and white.
Look out above! I guess I was in the right place at the right time to photograph this flock of seagulls soaring over the beach.
Newport Beach has a cute little park (above) in which these palm trees are all arranged in a semi-circle making for a neat panorama.
The ocean looked almost like a mirror on the sand as the waves washed in and out. Above, right: my favorite sequined flip flops. Above, left: a photo taken through my sunglasses for an interesting filter with a seagull flying overhead.
At the end of the peninsula (above) there is a little path with some benches and this great view of sailboats and ferries going in and out of the harbor.
One last black and white photo (above) featuring this lone palm tree growing right out on the beach.
If you are in the Southern California area, I would strongly recommend taking a trip out to Newport.
